Also, our group is currently in discussions with a national non-profit organization called the Trust for Public Land, which focuses on helping communities preserve greenspaces around the country. Representatives from the TPL are working on negotiating a deal that would please the UL-Lafayette administration and the UL System Board of Supervisors, as well as the Lafayette City-Parish Government. There may be a possibility for the TPL to loan the local government the money to save the Horse Farm immediately, and then develop a repayment plan.
