OUR MISSION

The City and Parish of Lafayette, Louisiana has many strengths: wonderful people, a growing economy, shopping and restaurant diversity, and of course a rich Cajun history and culture of food, music, and traditions. What this region desperately needs, however, to further enhance our quality of life so as to attract and retain businesses, residents, and students, is more openspace, greenspace, parkland, trail systems, and other outdoor recreation opportunities. The single best current opportunity toward this goal is to preserve the beautiful and undeveloped public property know as the UL Horse Farm.
